About us

Mercy Media Club is Mercy High School’s student-run news source. It is a combination of Mercy SF's Mercy TV and Mercy Burlingame's Crusader Chronicle. We utilize articles and videos to report on school events, communicate with the student body, and shine a spotlight on all corners of Mercy. This is our second year of Mercy Media and we are excited to create videos in an in-person format.

We are looking for people interested in writing, graphic design, video editing, journalism or photography. You do not need to have experience but please have a genuine interest. This club is a commitment as we will be creating weekly videos that will be in the advisory slides and release articles every other week. Samantha: Hi I'm Samantha and I am the president of Mercy Media and I think you should join our club because it is very fun and a great way to discover what Mercy is like from all sides. We have two teams an article team and a video team and we are going to tell you some more about them. (screen: Why Join Mercy Media?) 

Maria: I'm Maria Shelley and I am an editor for the Mercy Media Club I love being in the Mercy Media club because it allows me to work with other girls to collaborate on writing articles. We write articles on all kinds of things like advice, sports and more.

Angelica: Hi I am Angelica and I am a senior and I am an editor for Mercy Media and I love Mercy Media because I like to write about cool things, make great videos, and work with awesome people. So you should totally join! 

Madison: I'm Madison Hong I am the co-president (with Samantha) of the Mercy Media club. You should really join this club because you can do so many fun things; You can learn how to design, edit videos or be in the videos if you want. The articles are expanding to include sports news and pretty much anything you would want to write about.

Samantha: This club is a bit of a time commitment so I think that it is important to know that we will be meeting during lunch once or twice a week on Wednesdays and maybe thursdays. On Wednesdays we will plan, and on Thursdays we will film and edit videos. For the article team the articles will be due every other week (they will only meet on Wednesdays).
