National French Week Recap!

From November 3 to November 9, Mercy held national French Week with a bunch of fun activities and dress-up days! Because of the many activities, let's recap this week!
The Louvre
French Week theme
This year’s theme for National French Week was inspired by the Louvre: Art from the Francophone World. Students in French class have made posters about French art pieces that are displayed in the Louvre. Check out the posters that are displayed throughout the halls!
National French Week Activities
Here are the fun activities that were held for French Week:
To start off French Week, On Wednesday the 3rd, they held a Museum/Photobooth in the Great Hall
Then on Thursday, November 4, they held a French Week Olympics on the Green, after school
On Friday, November 5, during lunch they held a Positivoty Chain in French on the Green. Also on Friday, after school. There was a trischool Dinner Soirée held at Serra high school
During collab, there was a crepe sale where crepes were sold for $2
Monday, November 8, during lunch, there was a french Dance Party in the Great Hall. And after school, there was a Francophone Trivia Kahoot in Madame's room
Lastly on Tuesday, during Lunch, there was an Art/Louvre Kahoot in the Great Hall
French Week dress up days Besides the activities, we also had dress-up days:
On Wednesday, November 3, dress up in Vanuatu Flag colors (red,green,yellow and black)
On Thursday, November 4, dress up as a tourist in France ( Neutral colors and on the dressier side)
On Friday, November 5, Paris fashion week, dress stylish)
Monday, November 8, Dress as a french painter/artist
Then lastly on Tuesday, November 9, Mardi Gras Colors (purple, yellow, green)
French Week Scavenger Hunt
Throughout French Week, flags of French speaking countries were placed all over campus as part of the scavenger hunt. When you find a flag take a selfie of you and the flag and show it to Madame and she will give you a french treat!
French Week PhRases
Some French Phrases that you can learn are:
● Bonjour! Comment ca va? Hello! How are you?
● Je suis fatigué. I am tired
● Je me sens heureux. I am happy.
● Je ne sais pas. I dont know.
● C’est bien. It’s good.
● Moi aussi! Me too!
