Halloween has gone and Christmas decorations are up but we cannot forget Thanksgiving! Arts and crafts are a great way to bond with family or have a little me time while decorating the space around you.

Mosaic Leaves
This fun (and aesthetically pleasing) craft is simple and all you need is colored and white paper, scissors, pencils, leaves, and glue. Trace your leaves, using a pencil, on a piece of white paper. Cut your colored paper into small pieces and glue them on your piece of white paper inside of your outline. Lastly, cut out your leaves, following your outline, and place your leaves around your house.
Paper Turkey
Thanksgiving is a time to eat turkey and make one too! For this craft, you need a toilet paper roll, colored paper, scissors, glue, and this template (googly eyes are optional). To show what you are thankful for, write them on the feathers to show everyone. Use the template to cut out the different parts of your turkey and then glue them on the toilet paper roll. You can write what you are thankful for on the feathers before or after placing the feathers on the toilet roll.
Turkey Handprint Placemats
If there are young children in your family, this craft is perfect for remembering the old times. You will need a full size construction paper (12x18), different colors of paint and markers. Paint the palm and thumb of the person's hand brown (for the body) and then use different colors of paint for the other fingers (feathers). After the handprint dries, you can add details like the turkey’s beak, eyes, etc. Out of all of the crafts in this list this is the most customizable. The amount of handprint turkeys is endless and whatever comes to mind can be written on top. Each place mat can be different! You can save the placemats or take a picture of them and this will be a nice memory for you and your family.
Turkey Windsocks
Want a craft that is more environmentally conscious? This craft reuses a tin can, ribbons, and other craft odds and ends. Making the windsock should be quick and easy. The colorful ribbons can be shown inside or outside. For the full set of instructions, click here.
Oreo Turkeys
Last but not least is a food craft. If the candy corn is still good from Halloween, this is the craft for you. You will need white chocolate chips, coconut oil, red food coloring, candy eyes, Oreos, butterscotch chips, and candy corn. Fun to make and eat! Find instructions at this link.
