Happy Holidays Mercy! Wherever you go for your holidays, you always want to have fun during the season with your family and friends. For those of us staying around the Bay Area this year, here are five fun holiday events to see and visit.

Filoli Gardens - Woodside

Filoli Gardens is decked out in Holiday lights and attractions this year. Filoli is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Every Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. there is a themed night. Themes include Vintage Christmas, Hanukkah lights, or Holiday Hats, and dressing in the theme will get you a special gift! Filoli also offers classic pictures with Santa and shopping and dining areas.

See their website at https://filoli.org/events/holidays/ for information on tickets, guidelines, and dates for events.

On Ice Rink - San Mateo

Located in Central Park, On Ice Rinks offers skaters daily recreational skating. Additionally, you can book the rink for parties, private ice skating, and special events. You can skate on 11,000 square feet of real ice in the day or night. Free skating days are available on Tuesday, December 7, and Wednesday, December 15. And hot cocoa is a must!

Giant Chanuka Menorah - San Francisco

A Union Square tradition, this 25-foot tall Menorah is lit for the eight days of the Chanuka celebration. Most nights there is a gathering and music, and then the lighting ceremony, typically at 4:30 p.m.

The Great Dickens Christmas Fair - Daly City

This holiday drive-through event is taking place at the Cow Palace in Daly City on Saturdays and Sundays from December 4 to December 19. Buy a ticket for your vehicle and see scenes from classic Dickens tales, lively music, good food, and special gifts. It opens on December 4.

They also offer an at-home option for those who prefer the safety and comfort of home.
